Project name: Development of a training course and study program module „Socio-economic aspects of the climate technology for bioeconomy sector”

Project aim: The aim of the project is the establishment of an innovative training system about social and economical aspects of the climate change, based on the analysis of the biological economics development analysis.

Specific objectives of the project: Elaborate a training course as a module of engineering syllabus for the improvement of specialists’ comprehension about the climate change forecasting analysis models, their application possibilities and state development in the biological economics characterization aspect. Framework of the project includes following activities:

        • course development,
        • course approbation,
        • course adjustment and approbation for other target groups,
        • teaching course for project target groups,
        • publicity.

Key Persons:

        • The scientific managerof the project: Prof., Dr.habil.sc.ing. Dagnija Blumberga is a Director of the Institute of Energy Systems and Environment, Faculty of Power and Electrical Engineering, Riga Technical University. Her main activities include management, research, teaching and project managing. Dagnija Blumberga is a director of undergraduate, masters and PhD study programs “Environmental Science”.
        • Expert of the University of Bergen:Pål Ingebrigt Davidsen is a Professor of System Dynamics at the University of Bergen in Norway. His main activities include research, teaching, supervision and administration. Pål Davidsen is the coordinator of the EU ERASMUS student and faculty exchange program in System Dynamics and the System Dynamics Program at the University of Bergen.
